Good evening Tucker County Families:
Wednesday, January 24 is the last day to Pre-Register your preschool age child for the Preschool Screenings to take place at the Tucker County Early Childhood Festival this spring. If you have a child who will be of preschool age next fall, please call the Tucker County Board of Education Office at 304-478-2771 to pre-register on or before this coming Wednesday. To be eligible for preschool, your child must be 4 years old on or before June 30, 2024. Three year olds may be eligible for preschool, if they who are functioning at, or lower than, 75 percent of the normal rate of development, or who perform 1.5 standard deviations or more below the mean in consideration of 1.0 standard error of measurement on a standardized evaluation instrument, in two or more of the following areas: Cognition; Motor; Communication; Social Emotional; and/or Self-Help Skills.
